Hi guys!! Today I just wanted to give a brief shout out to the prompt list I created this year! It's called TimeTober + TimeVember!
It is meant to combine both Inktober and Huevember into one 14 day challenge! Here is the prompt list below:
Quick Overview of the Prompts:
TIMETOBER -
• Day 1: 1700s
• Day 2: 1800s
• Day 3: 1900s
• Day 4: 1910s
• Day 5: 1920s
• Day 6: 1930s
• Day 7: 1940s
TIMEVEMBER -
• Day 8: 1950s + Red
• Day 9: 1960s + Orange
• Day 10: 1970s + Yellow
• Day 11: 1980s + Green
• Day 12: 1990s + Blue
• Day 13: 2000s + Violet
• Day 14: 2010s-2020 + Pink
Here are the official rules!
- Timetober takes place during October (a Inktober prompt lisa) and contains 7 prompts for time period related drawings. This spans the 1700s to the 1940s! Each of these 7 drawings should be black + white. You can do this digitally or traditionally! Please post all entries with the hashtag #raineytimetober and tag me so I can see and feature you! Feel free to only do a few days or add on more for a full 31 days of Inktober. Can post at any point in October, it does not have to be a specific time or even in a row!
- Timevember takes place during November and contains 7 prompts for time periods AND 7 prompts for colors. (A Huevember prompt list.) For example, Day 1 has the prompt "1950s - Red" which means you're 1950s drawing must contain red! This spans the 1950s to current day! Feel free to exclusively use the prompt color or just make it stand out. You can do this digitally or traditionally! Please post all entries with the hashtag #raineytimevember and tag me so I can see and feature you! Feel free to only do a few days or add on more for a full 30 days of Huevember. Can post at any point in November, it does not have to be a specific time or even in a row!
When you have completed all 14 drawings of both Timetober AND Timevember, you will have a full set of drawings that goes through the decades (and a little more at the start), fading from black to white and through all the colors! There's really no right or wrong here, it's totally fine to just do one of weeks, or play around with the challenge Completely. But hopefully it can inspire you this year! As for me, I will be posting my 14 pieces during the days of October 25th - November 7th, but again you can post yours at any time during the two months! My pieces will be half Body and based around women's fashion during each time period, and the backgrounds of each piece will be full of items related to the time period! These will be fairly similar to my Summer Sweethearts pieces in composition and style. I hope to do a review post on my blog about all 14 of my pieces and discuss my thought process during each one. I will also have two separate youtube videos, one for the first 7 and the next for the last, where I show the speedpaints for each piece.
