Sketchbook Tours | Sketchbook #3 (2016)
Time to show off my third sketchbook!! This one is a tad smaller than some other ones, I guess I must have ripped out a few pages haha! So this will go pretty quickly. But I do feel like this book is where I really start developing my own personal style! This sketchbook spans from April 2016 to July 2016.
Here is the sketchbook tour video!
Alright, now here are the close up shots! To be honest I don't have a whole ton to say about each piece so I will probably mainly show the pictures, but I hope you all still enjoy! As usual, pls ignore the glaringly bad lighting in these photos, I did not feel like pulling out all my lighting gear to take pics of old artwork..
• This art is in a mixed media Canson sketchbook and spans from April 2016 to July 2016. In it I use mechanical pencils, inking pens, and mostly copic and ohuhu markerks.

First page of the sketchbook! I was using
mostly my ohuhus in this sketchbook and is finally when I started using markers regurarly! I also tried a lot of new things style wise like the odd cat nose and pacman eyes (inspired by classic black and white cartoons). I do still kind of like the eye style though I ditched it at some point.

This one was DEFINITELY inspired by something I saw somewhere so I am not going to claim this idea as my own, i think I was trying to draw someone else's piece in my style pretty much. But I will still include it as I think I did pretty well with the art, but again NOT my original idea!!

Background ideas!

I really like this piece!!

Above is one of my old old OCs!!
This one to the left was done with watercolor actually, I think it is one of my first ever attempts! As you can probably tell from the butterfly bleeding.. I remember being so upset about it!

These are two of my faves from the whole sketchbook, I don't know what it is I just really enjoy the simple style of them both!

My ABSOLUTE favorite from the sketchbook!! This was my favorite piece for so long so I have a lot of happy memories with it, I still really like the design of this character, especially the way I drew the hair and the jacket! I even did pretty okay with the hand and the hat so that was a big deal for me back then! I should really redraw it some time..

Now for my LEAST favorite piece.. This one just really bugs me. The anatomy on the arms, the color difference between different portions of her skin due to smudging, the weird end in scales on her tail, the way the hair is practically engulfing her.. eek.
Now I am torn if instead I should redraw THIS piece and try to make it better!!

I really liked that page so I added even more close ups haha!!

Annnddd here we are at the last page! Like I said, an oddly small one, but I actually like a lot of the pieces here! You can see I was getting a LOT braver compared to the two sketchbooks before it, and was finally developing a style that is recognizably "mine"! I think, even though I have improved, you can still see this is my artwork, and that is pretty cool to see!
Sorry this one was so short! I am pretty sure my fourth sketchbook makes up for it a bit. Anyways, let me know down below which is your favorite of these, and also which should I redraw? My personal favorite or least favorite?
