My first Youtube Video! | Using all of my Pink Art Supplies

Updated: May 14, 2020

Hi everyone! This is a really short post before my next two animation related posts I promised for December. Today I want to announce that I posted my first video to youtube! It's the first video I have ever made so it is far from perfect, but it would still mean a lot to me if you gave it a look. Here's how you can find the video:

• Click on the image down below to go directly to the video

• Head to my Instagram and click the Linktree in my bio

I plan to post more videos in the future, specifically art tutorials, but for now I have a quick process video for my newest artwork!

Here is the piece I made for my youtube video:

I made this artwork using all 60 of my Pink art supplies! To see the list of all the supplies I used, go to my instagram and click on the post of this image, or find it in the Portfolio section on my blog!

I've done two pieces like this before, one where I used all of my blue supplies and one where I used green. I found the idea a few years ago when the artist Drawingwiffwaffles did it on her channel ( https://www.youtube.com/user/drawingwiffwaffles ) and I really want to make it through all the colors! Each time I ask my followers lots of questions in my stories to help shape and change the concept for the artwork, so if you want to be involved in the polls next time I do this, make sure to follow me there!

As for the art itself, I have to be honest and say that I still prefer the all green art I did to this one. (You can find the green art on my Insta as well if you scroll down a ways.) There are some things about this piece that just didn't turn out as I had envisioned. Mainly, the pose of the character. She's meant to be sitting with one leg tucked under her (I'll have the reference pic in my stories today) but I'm not sure it looks that way or makes sense in the drawing. But oh well, I'm still happy with making such a big background! If you've seen my recent stories you'll know I've had my followers vote on lots of things about this illustration, and it lead me to drawing a car for the first time! I actually don't think it turned out too bad. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this one, even though I think I'm missing a lot of contrast. A lot of my pinks were very similar tones. But oh well, they can't all be winners!

That's all for today's post, sorry again its so short! Make sure to check out my Instagram in the meantime to see more of my artwork, and to check on updates for when my next blog posts will be out! Next up is another Shaping Animation post, and this time it's Pinocchio!
